Hubble Homes is committed to the communities in which we build. On Saturday, February 25th, the Hubble team volunteered for the Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity Repairs Program.

The Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity Repairs Program is a program designed to help low-income homeowners in the Boise area make necessary repairs to their homes. The program is run by Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that works to provide affordable housing solutions to families in need. The Repairs Program is aimed at helping homeowners who are unable to make necessary repairs to their homes due to financial constraints, disability, or other challenges. The program provides critical home repairs to improve the health, safety, and accessibility of homes. Repairs may include roof repair or replacement, electrical and plumbing repairs, weatherization, and more.

The Hubble team volunteers Taylor Reeves, Bailey Diveley, Bensen Nyhus, and Alyssa Dickinson teamed up with Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity Repairs Program manager James Clovis to build an access ramp on a home in Meridian for a lovely lady named Barbara and her dog Buddy. Barbara is 86 years young and was starting to feel uncomfortable with the stairs. She got connected with Habitat’s repair program to get the needed help. The access ramp will make going in and out of her home so much easier for Barbara. During the build, Barbara made homemade maple doughnuts for the volunteers as a little thank you, and we can tell you: they were incredible!

In 2022 Hubble Homes donated a total of $15,000 to the Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity Repairs Program, and the Hubble Team is planning for another volunteer day in next coming months.
