Hubble Homes had fun participating in the Kuna Construction Combine on May 6-7, 2021. This two-day training workshop not only taught high school students construction skills, but also gave them a hands-on experience with professionals in construction trades.
On day one, students participated in a two-hour training on construction topics including framing, electrical, roofing, siding, and flooring. On day two, students were assigned two construction trainers to build a shed. The sheds will be used as part of the Kuna Market Village, a seasonal outdoor shopping center planned for Kuna, set to open later this month. It will consist of 120-square-foot mini retail shops, produce stands and plaza areas for the community. The Market Village will help foster the growth of small Kuna businesses who farm or create local products. It will be located at the 4th Street Gym in downtown Kuna.
The village is set for a soft opening on May 21 and will be open Friday through Sunday from June 4 through September 26 annually.
Hubble Homes had a great time help building the sheds that will be used as mini retail shops for the market while teaching interested students about construction. You can read more about Kuna Market Village here.
