The groundbreaking event took place on February 16, 2024, at the home site of this year’s Hubble Hero Home in our Greendale Grove community in Star. It not only marked the beginning of the construction of our 2024 Hubble Hero Home but also symbolized a collective effort to build hope for a brighter future. For this year’s Hero Home, Hubble Homes will build the Emerald, a single-story floorplan featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 2,433 square feet of living space. In partnership with our dedicated trade partners, who generously donate their services, this home is not just a structure but a beacon of compassion and support. The proceeds from the 2024 Hubble Hero Home sale will be divided among five local charities: the Idaho Food Bank, Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Operation Grateful Hearts, Star Outreach, and West Valley Humane Society.
After a vibrant meet and greet, where participants, supporters, and community members gathered to share in the excitement, an official welcome by Hubble Homes president Brian Cutting set the stage for the remainder of the event, providing an overview of the construction schedule and highlighting the charitable essence of the project. It became clear that the Hubble Hero Home project is about supporting the community, building hope, and making a lasting impact on the lives of others.
The spotlight then shifted to the representatives from our five local charities that will benefit from this year’s Hubble Hero Home. Each charity spokesperson took a moment to express their gratitude to Hubble Homes and all the trade partners for the opportunity to be part of the 2024 Hubble Hero Home project and sharing in the transformative work their organizations undertake. They acknowledged the collective effort to make a project like this possible and emphasized the impact this home will have on the lives of those they serve.
The Hubble Team and representatives from each charity participated in a photo session with the ceremonial Golden Shovel, symbolizing the groundbreaking not only of a home but of new ground in creating positive change within the community.
