Under direct supervision, prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detailed drawings of residential homes and home sites using current design software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare construction documents by reviewing Sales Contract, Addenda, Showroom menu, etc., to produce as complete and accurate set of construction drawings as possible, while integrating all of the home buyer’s home choices and selected Showroom options. All work will be reviewed by Design Manager prior to finalization.
INITIAL SITE PLANS
Prepare initial site plans to ensure the home fits properly on the lot. Sod and fencing table should be completed at this time.
PREPARE AND MAINTAIN SITE PLANS
Prepare and maintain site plans for all new and existing community developments. As new communities are brought on line, each lot should be drawn with accuracy depicting lot lines and labeled length and bearing. Easements and setbacks should be drawn and labeled per jurisdiction.
PERMIT AND SUPERINTENDENT PACKAGES
Prepare and manage the permit and superintendent packages, including construction drawings, specifications, energy compliance reports and building permit applications, to submit to appropriate building departments. Requests permit checks from accounting, and inserts appropriate dates in the FAST system. All submissions go to Scheduling.
LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
Makes final changes to plans and drawings under the direction of the Design Manager.
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS
Reports to and works under direct supervision of the Design Manager and VP of Operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Vocational graduate in Auto-CAD, Revit, drafting or related field required.
• Basic drafting knowledge, proficient with computer-aided drafting and printing.
• Ability to work with many people in a high pressure situation.
• Must possess strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
