Quality Assurance Inspector

Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met in each home constructed by the company. The Quality Assurance Inspector works with the operations team and with trade partners to identify opportunities for improvement, and to coach teams and individuals on means and methods for continuous improvement.  

Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a background or field of study in construction or a related industry with 5+ years of experience.  The candidate should have the ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality or productivity. Essential Job Functions
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for executing the scope of work including, but not limited to the responsibilities below:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality inspection procedures for residential projects.
  • Conduct all final construction inspections prior to new home orientation to ensure compliance with Hubble quality standards, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ensure that all noted corrective actions are satisfactorily resolved prior to homeowner move in.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
  • Generate comprehensive reports summarizing inspection findings and communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with design, purchasing, construction, customer care, and trade partners to address quality concerns, preventive actions, and corrective measures.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless integration of the quality inspection processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency, as well as improvements in means, methods and materials used to construct homes.
  • Ensure that all construction adheres to local and national building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and update inspection process accordingly.
  • Work towards achieving and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of quality, complete, and on time homes.
  • Responsible for QC platform & process enhancements. Manages the execution of the QC5 process.
  • Regularly reviews customer care ticket reports for trends.
  • Reviews pre-carpet inspections, walkthrough completions, customer feedback, and trade partner performance reports.
  • Provides timely reporting to division leadership as requested.
  • Participates in corporate initiatives related to customer care and performance.
  • Participates in corporate claims meetings as requested by division leadership.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
     

Technical Qualifications
Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office, including the effective use of Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills

Employment Details: 
Full-time, exempt.

Schedule:
This position works ordinary work hours Monday through Friday.

Supplemental pay Available:
Bonus pay may be available.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
Previous experience as superintendent or customer care representative.

Work Location:
Corporate office in Meridian, Idaho.
Travel to Hubble Homes communities throughout the region.
